Talented sprinter Sheza Keen Size will start a popular elect in the Sulzanti @ Stud Easter Trophy Final after recording a career-best 29.87 for the 520 metre journey in heats last week.
The regally-bred daughter of Head Bound and Surf Queen trained by Peter Ruetschi has produced several impressive performances following a two-month layoff including victory in a sizzling 24.79 seconds at Ipswich over 431 metres earlier this month. The winner of the 2015 Ipswich Futurity will have to negotiate box four on Thursday evening, a draw that hasn’t been fruitful in her 27 start career.
Wings Of Perlita for John Hutchinson looks the early testing material from a suitable draw in box 2 and will look to improve after being run down in the concluding stages in heat four. The daughter of Oaks Road and Sky Twinkle is yet to miss a place in her 12 start career.
Up-and-coming greyhound Spring Mystery for veteran mentor Desmond Heilbronn looked impressive taking out heat five after negotiating early traffic to score in a respectable 30.25 seconds. The son of Spring Gun and Snowball Run is definitely on the rise but will again have to overcome a tricky draw in box 7 to feature in the finish.
The eight finalists in the Sulzanti @ Stud Easter Trophy will be competing for $9,300 in total stakes, which will be run as race seven on the program, at 8.58pm.
Other highlights on the program include the Albion Park debut of Zabdon Ferrari who lines up in the opening event of the night following a blistering maiden series at Ipswich in recent weeks. The Vince Curry Memorial Maiden placegetter now trained by leading mentor Tony Brett will try to emulate his incredible feat of recording 30.22 seconds for the Ipswich 520 metres last start.
